Filling out our Family Trees
Hi Everyone.
Some homework.... Please email me back with your family data. Which family are you part of?
If a member of the Ruscitto Family for instance, which sibling are you related? Example: Tony is Guy Ruscitto's son. Lou, Shirley, George are with Guy's family, but each have their own family unit of members. Vicky, Tina and their families are part of Guy's brother George Ruscitto's family,..etc...
In the Frank Family, there are 10 siblings from Al, Mike, to Theresa and George......
Provide all your Family member's names, birthdays, marriage date, deceased family birth / death and any pertinent info you'd like.
You can make me a little tree! I'd like to print out what you send me and include it in the particular family binder....
Also, if others in your family circle are not listed in the emails above, please forward the request to anyone, and ask them to send it to me at cath@fairpoint.net
These weeks are flying by and please email me any questions, directions, accomodations, food, games, etc....
Did you all check out my 'blog?" You can access it and read my 'ramblings' at http://lindenhurstmemories.blogspot.com
Hope this request isn't confusing the way I worded it.....Cath

Food for the Reunion July 16, 2011 @ Lindenhurst Farm
I'd like to try something a little different with food this year. Not really different, just suggestions for each family who want to know what they should bring....
Below you will see your family's name and 'options' of dishes to bring. I'd like to help you decide what to bring if you are not sure of what to make. Now, this in no way is meant to tell you you can't bring your favorite dish...yes, you certainly can bring your favorite...but IF you aren't sure of what we'll need, these suggestions, hopefully will help you decide....
I'd also ask that with your family's suggested dishes that you would please bring enough to feed a family of 5 (thinking of previous reunions, we had plenty of food) and also bring some kind of munchie or sweet to distribute around tables.
I WOULD REMIND YOU that we have only one grill and please do not bring any heirloom dishes or tableware that might be damaged or broken. i will supply paper goods, utensils, cups, napkins, plastic table ware etc.
RUSCITTO FAMILY:
WARM PASTA DISH, OR A WARM VEGETABLE DISH,
PLUS AN APPETIZER, CHEESE BALL, CRACKERS, CHIPS, etc.
FRANK FAMILY:
MEATBALLS OR SAUSAGES OR A COLD LARGE DISH SUCH AS POTATO
OR MACARONI SALAD, PLUS AN APPETIZER, CHEESE BALL, CRACKERS, CHIPS
WITOUSKI FAMILY:
FRIED CHICKEN OR HAM OR COLD CUTS, OR VEGETABLE
TRAY, PLUS ANY APPETIZER, CHEESE BALL, CRACKERS, ETC
PODKRAJAC / BLAZEVICH FAMILY:
SLOPPY JOES, KOLBASSI, OR PASTA / BEAN /
MACARONI SALAD, PLUS ANY APPETIZER, CHEESE BALL,
CRACKERS, CHIPS, PRETZELS
THIS IS JUST AN ARRAY OF FOOD SUGGESTIONS FOR YOU TO LOOK OVER. IF YOU ARE TRAVELING INTO TOWN, DON'T WORRY ABOUT HAVING TO COOK OR BRING FOOD
...WE'LL BE GLAD TO SEE YOU AND WILL ENJOY YOUR PRESENCE.

June 11, 1944 Kay and Andy
Celebrating the 66th year for their wedding anniversary. And guess who will be 66 next birthday??? Ta DA....
Luc....Luciano George
What a cutie....i swear i see a lot of MY heritage in him....looks a whole lot like my youngest brother Billy who we lost during the Vietnam War. Babysitting Luc is such a treat...he is 7 months old now and loves to look at the birdies and airplanes flying over, and the trucks going by. Big brother Roman is just all over his baby brother and kisses him constantly...what a sweetie.

Christians Must Stand Strong
Reading a book called "THe Newly PErsecuted" by Antonio Socci. The jist is that the just are not justified! Chrisitians worldwide are the Preferred Sect to destroy! Mass executions to followers of Jesus have been occuring steadily since the beginning and are still on the rise to this day either through dictators, media, corruption, perverts, or laziness. We must be careful of this or we will lose our freedom to believe and follow the Lord's Way!
Passages of Temper
During a golf trip recently, one gal screeched out her feelings of anger when she thought someone was talking about her. I figure, i need to do this next time i feel invisible, she sure felt better...and no one was the worse for wear.
Florida Visit
Visited with Dee, still tough to absorb.....Kenn's gone 8 months now, she's still mourning. Works hard at Office Max and around the house to keep things up. Gave her a hand with some menial chores, rearrangements of furniture, pop of color here and there, flowers, etc...some great laughs, hard work....we didn't paint though, which is why i went down to help her decide on color...oh well, next time.

43 YEARS!!!
Today, Feb 20th in 1965 was our formal wedding day. We had run away to get married 3 months ago, but count the 'church' wedding as our anniversary date! Wow, 43 years is a long time to coexist with another person. Our life has been such an adventure, no wonder 43 years has flown by....literally flown by....wow! Three grown children, each married with families of their own, six grandkids whose lives are flying by as well....time is sacred...no doubt about it....
Who knew that all the 'advisors' were telling the truth? Each moment, each day, each week, count them every one, and 'cherish' them all....

Hockey Mania
Love hockey....just got home from Penguins game...they were lousy first and second periods, down 2-0....came out in the third, scored 3 goals and won with 22 seconds left.....nothing quite like an exciting finish to an amazing show of athleticism.....took the grandsons, they are just loving gram and pap's tickets!! and now they are crazy about hockey too!
